I've learned some. Their driving machines are complicated, though. I need to hire a tutor.

I have. It's really quite fascinating. I've done some work with alternative fuel systems on their vehicles.

I'm afraid I've never attempted to pilot one, however.

It's harder than it looks. They're sensitive in ways you don't expect and the acceleration can be uneven. I did it without practicing once. It was enough to tell me it could get my fool ass killed.

Do you intend to learn? They seem to be falling out of use now that their primary fuel source has been cut off.

I'm not sure, mostly for that reason. The infrastructure that made it work isn't here, either. Their world had huge networks of roads designed for them, but the merge put a stop to that.

It seems as though the skill would be a novelty more than anything of actual use, unless the situation changes significantly.

Probably so. Except for those off-road vehicles, but even those would have a hard time against a monster.

The only ones I've seen which would be capable of handling monsters have been rather unfortunately commandeered by Pelusa.

I heard about that. Pain in the ass, too. I liked Earth guns.

I never had the opportunity to use them, myself. The alchemical variety has sufficed.
