[Mal has written out letters like this many times since becoming Vohu, but never could quite convince himself to send it... this is probably the tenth draft of this thing and he finally just plants a stamp on it and hands it to the dragon 8|]

I've struggled with whether or not to write to you for months now. When you became real, I didn't want to interfere with your life. It was your life to live, no longer a story that I was in control of.

I'm your player. I won't call myself your creator, and I don't consider myself such. I may have written your history, but I never intended for it to become real, for the hardships I put you through to have serious consequences for living, breathing human beings. It was a game, a story, that many of us participated in for our own personal amusement. I like to think that if we'd known what would happen, many of us would have done things differently.

I wanted to apologize for everything that I wrote into your life, the hardships, the punishment, everything you regret or hate that happened to you before you woke up. I can only hope that you don't hate the person you've become since, though I don't know what kind of person that is.

I don't know what I hope to accomplish by writing this. I suppose I just wanted to give you someone to reach out to, if you ever chose to do so, if you had any questions or anything to say.

I also wanted you to know that I'm the Vohu now. I don't feel like that gives me any special power over you, or anyone, and all I hope to accomplish is to help my guild recover from what they've done, and try to make up for their mistakes.

You also know someone else I wrote. The druid who helped you escape Bastan's prison, Valentine. She wasn't awake at the time. I used her to help you escape. I guess that's selfish, wanting to see you free and forcing another person into a position to be able to ensure that freedom. She doesn't seem to mind, though.

Anyway, if you ever want to talk, now you know how to reach me. I'll leave it to you to make contact again, if you choose to do so.
