I think cheating doesn't develop the particular skillset they're looking for in bright young minds.

Somebody has to actually be able to DO the work, after all. If everyone learns to cheat, the one poor jerk they cheated off of will have to do everything ever.

Not that I have any idea who grows up to do trig for a living.
