They monitor the rivers and the air as well as the perimeter of the city. The guard looks sparse, but considering the fact that rogues are involved, it is likely not as sparse as it appears.

They seem to have taken the paladin's headquarters as their base. The temple is being used as an infirmary. Prisoners who were not publicly executed were led to the paladin's headquarters, presumably to the dungeons. Bodies from the initial attack have been burned. Most civilians remain inside their homes.

I confirmed the Vahishta in the lowest level of the dungeon. There was a young man in a separate area, same level.

What kind of protection do the dungeons have?

Shadows. It is a place where those who would hide in them thrive. Holy magic lingers, though with the Vahishta's [ and spenta's? ] presence, I couldn't differentiate what was new and what was old.

A question better answered by a paladin, I believe.

How much of the rivers do they guard?

That which enters and leaves the city's remaining boundaries. Are you considering entrance through them?

I am. The other options are through the walls or over the sinkholes.

My guild didn't find success with the former in the past.

They monitor from the ground level where the rivers intersect the wall as well as from the wall itself, but they lack the discipline of Bastan's guard.

How large of a group do you hope to enter with?

I'd prefer no more than a dozen entering.
But more would be leaving. We'll have groups escaping the rivers as well. The guild leaders, eventually. Though we'd need a place for another force to be waiting for refugees.
