Do the books stay still long enough?

The ones I saw him scanning did, but I think the World Library only really moves the books around that you need or if you specifically call for it. If it's in the middle of scanning, I don't think the Library would take it away from him.

I kind of wish it was you here, though.

Never spent a whole lot of time in the Library, though some people had their characters hate it because the books would attack them or such. No idea if that carried over.

Warping's really tricky, though. Even the really experienced mages sometimes don't even bother with it, just because it's so complicated. I don't even know if the Asha before me ever did it before he wound up in my room.

It really wouldn't surprise me if it did. The Library kind of has a mind of it's own, remember?

It's something to think about, though. I mean, I can see it being really useful in other ways, even if you couldn't get back here. Escaping danger, for example.

It's true. I have to learn all this other stuff before I even think about trying, though. The Mazda may have my head if I don't.

Do Zen mages even have familiars?

Yeah, some do. I think mechanically they provided a boost to mana or spell power or something. Not sure how that translated, either.

I don't suppose you have anything small, cute, and fuzzy that Jill doesn't want to deal with? That isn't Gin, of course. (How's he doing, by the way?)

Gin's all right. Though I may have to get rid of him if I have to move, unless I can get him licensed.

Sadly all I have are chickens and goats. The goats do kind of like to cuddle, but they're not very soft and probably too big to transport by dragon. [He draws a '8P']

Haha, yeah, that's true. They don't really like transporting larger things like that. I guess I'll just have to drag someone here animal shopping with me.

Just be careful. Some of their cute, adorable little puppies and kittens grow spikes or stingers when they get older.

Maybe, but I don't think Beatrice would like that much. How she puts up with me as it is, I have no idea, but a stray would probably push every single button she has, and she scares me.

Probably better to get one from someone who knows its lineage, anyway. No surprises.
