[Tyrus is sick. He's actually had this one before. But, Travis would not have. Travis would be spooked, he thinks. He needs to play up the part. He also needs some information. He has to find out what's going on.]
Uh... I got a case of Basilisk's Warts.
There's shit going around all over Fall City.
[E-mail: Nadir]
[This one is sent separate.]
Hey teach. Might not be in class. I've got Basilisk's Warts and it's got my right hand.

....you have what now?
no subject
My hand's covered in stone. It's a kinda rocky situation.
no subject
How do you have it? I didn't think that was the sort of thing that you could get outside of Zen.
no subject
A lot of people are getting sick with diseases from Zen. I'm not even sure who I caught it from.

Of all the times to not be in the middle of the World Library...
no subject
Aw, man, I was hoping you could look it up for me. Where are you?

[ he'd just thought it was the lamia venom, but nope. mana flu. the minute he realized it he'd gone out and bought some silence potions. they taste like grass but they do the trick. better than trying to mana burn himself. ]
Basilisk's Warts, though? [ travis always sounded like he was a pretty clear-headed kid that caught on to things quickly, but illnesses? he can't pinpoint why but it sounds a little weird. ]

That sucks. Guess we won't miss anything, then, at least.
Basilisk's Warts is what it sounded like when I looked it up. Makes a layer of stone on the outside of my skin, right?
no subject
Hm, that'll be the one. Have you got access to a cleric? Some softening potions should slow it down, at least.
no subject
Nah, but I might ask around on the forums. That's a good idea.
no subject
Whoa! I guess it was inevitable that Zen and Earth would start getting one another's diseases. Hopefully earthers can fend them off as well as Zendereans could. [that would actually be a really unsettling thing to say to your friend if he was really an earther, Harriet]
Is it scary?
no subject
[Uuuuuh. Should he be worried about Earth diseases now? Hm.]
Hopefully it's not gonna be too bad. I don't feel that awful.
no subject
The stone is just on the outside, right? You're not chipping off body parts.

I still feel like I'm between a rock and a hard place, though.

Shit, man.
I got fucking Dragon's Breath. From my instructor, of all people.
[Reply all]
This is crazy. Lots of diseases going around!
[Reply all]
But I'm an alchemist now so I can help with my own symptoms at least. 8)
[E-mail: Malachai Brampton]
You're an alchemist, huh? That's Ty was. Is, hopefully.
[Reply]
Yeah, not for long though. Mostly I was making constructs and sketching out plans for an airship.
Like I could ever be an alchemist and not make an airship. 8)
You hear from him at all?
no subject
Not really. I shot him a few dragonmails.
You're making an airship? Fly the friendly skies, huh? Any designs yet?
no subject
Don't really have much time to work on it, with classes, community service, and now people getting sick and the Khshathra back in Zenderael. Been learning a few potion recipes to keep us stocked.
You know, just in case.
