Thought you might be interested in some of the new book details. Valentia had some similarities to RP I thought were strange, and I'm sure you heard of the other from Heimdall.

This one stars a paladin named Julia Carryn, who meets the same fate as Carren Julya.
[Have some quoted passages of said events for proof!]

Thing that bothers me most is the reference to a group of people investigating it.
[Also have quoted passages of Lorelai, Noah, Lyner, and Vinnie investigations at the end, and the mysterious figure.]

Players are actually seeing these figures, too. I doubt they're NPCs. GMs, probably.
They can't be desperate for content. I wonder what they're getting at.

"To be continued."
I know it's all just a game. Some event. But it kinda feels like a warning.

What's with the investigators? Are they based on actual PCs too?

... That sounds like an awfully short time for them to use your characters in their book. When was this? Three, four weeks ago?

Actually, do we have any time references between plots/characters done by players and their "equivalent" in these books? Like Rayu versus Valentia...?

I'd assume months. Even with bits of the story given to them, the book needs to go through editing. I'm also assuming that publishers have a queue and you can't just jump in line unless you pay extra...?

This doesn't make sense. They're generating talk which is advertising, monetarily and otherwise, but are the costs worth it? I feel like jumping ship [ lies ]; there must be others who feel the same.

[ pause ]

It could mean someone with access to the storylines most prominently ripped off actually rps with the players that have been copied.

A rush job is...hard to believe, but not impossible, if they have the money for it.

I see no sense in wasting that money to pull something in such bad taste, though.

Or the CEOs of X-DAV could be time travelers from the future wanting to make a quick buck. Who knows!

Easier, maybe, but not nearly as entertaining.

I don't buy it, either. Not, at least, as the sole reason.

Did Heimdall tell you? That night, the guard that intervened -- he took out five men by himself. At once.

He then proceeded to give no fucks.

That's not normal for a security guard.

Why exactly.

Hutchins' wife still, too.

I don't think we have enough information to do anything but twiddle our thumbs in agitation. [ oh ]

Unless the abnormal strength and endurance of a security guard is somehow related to the beheading of a woman.

Don't thank me. It goes both ways.
