To anyone who may find themselves in the World Library in the forseeable future,

While the Library itself is a place of magic and we encourage it's use and practice within the Library walls, all non-essential uses of magic are temporarily banned from anywhere other than the training facilities until those who have switched bodies with other individuals learn to use the powers their new bodies wield responsibly. My moghan and I do not have the time or the capability to be everywhere at once, and fire, while impressive, is generally not recommended around flammable objects except on a training ground.

Anyone found in violation of this restriction will be promptly removed from the building.

I'm simply trying to prevent incidents that result in accidentally setting a vast collection of ancient and irreplaceable knowledge on fire.

I suppose you're not inclined to be forgiving of the current problems.

Normally, I would be. However, the amount of people who seem to think all being a mage gets you is the ability to shoot fire from your hands is greater than you'd think, and excitement apparently doesn't lend itself well to caution around flammable items.

Perhaps they're tired of foreigners commanding them and would like a simple, if violent, release from their frustrations?

They are more than capable of releasing their frustrations on a straw target that resembles more of a human being than a book does. If I was after a violent release of my own frustrations, I would personally find the former to be much more satisfying, wouldn't you?

I don't deign to tell others how they should think and feel. I would say you don't either, Asha...

What he wants to say is "What's your stance on people who try to tell others how to do their jobs?" but that's soooooo not professional.]

The restriction is in place temporarily, as I have said, and is not up for negotiation. It is in place to allow the moghan to do their jobs infinitely more smoothly than things have been since the swaps began. If you have a problem with it, I would suggest you simply avoid the building until Vepha gets bored and stops swapping people around as if they were dolls changing clothing.

If your problem is with me, however, I'm afraid there's nothing I can do.
