You did really good yesterday. We were watching. I can't believe Aerveas was actually competing! We thought he'd have a proxy or something.

Listen, honey, I know you're busy with tournament stuff and everything, but something happened last night that I really need to tell you and you can't tell anyone else about this. I promised I'd only tell you.

The Asha's kind of in your bed right now. He just sort of showed up here last night and I don't know what to do with him. He's still alive, because I know that's going to be the first thing you ask me. I can't say he's fine, because I think that might be a lie, but he isn't dead. Just... not all there. I think he came here looking for you.

He's not well. I know that much. You don't feel in danger? He can't control his magic. I'm not sure it's safe to keep him there.

But I'm not sure if it's safe for him to be found.

I was kind of surprised. For a guy like that, he's kind of a beast. Are you sure he's not secretly a berserker or something?

[Secretly, Gabe is VERY terrified of Aerveas and is starting to wonder if him kicking Rhys' ass is a possibility, but he's totally not saying that.]

He's here. In our dorm room. And taking over your bed. Or, you know, sort of. Apparently before I got home, he tore the sheets off your bed and blocked the windows with them. Any idea what that's about? He even complained about the room lights being too bright.

I kind of felt like I might have been at first, but that was just because I didn't recognize him. And I can't just abandon him somewhere. That'd be cruel. Besides, I think he needs someone right now. I mean, it's not like he'll let anybody else look at him. I offered to get him some help because I thought he might have been hurt, but that was a world of no.

Yeah. He told me he didn't want anybody to find him. Honestly, I'm still surprised he was okay with me telling you he was here.

It's not out of the realm of possibility.

But there's a lot about combat that isn't raw force. On Earth, there are schools dedicated to using someone's strength against them. Maybe it's like that.

He did the same to his laboratory, saying he needs to get used to the dark. For the Dark, I think. He seemed to believe he was going to die.

Please keep safe. I don't care if there's a tournament or not. If something happens, let me know.

Honey, I'll be fine. We'll be fine. I think if he was going to hurt me, he'd have done it already. I mean, he is the Asha. He probably could have incinerated me if he wanted to.

Seemed to. Maybe it's different now that he's on Earth? He knows the other leaders have been dying.

What I'm worried about is him doing it even if he doesn't want to.
But I trust you. If you think it's safe then... good luck. But please. Let me know, all right?

I don't know. He hasn't mentioned it yet, at least. Come to think of it, the only things he really mentioned were you, and something about needing to prepare.

I'll be fine, honey, but if anything happens, I'll let you know. Promise.
