I just talked to a guy from the meet. He said he was RPing with Helia, Rachel's cleric, before she left the cafe, but she was logged into Lorna at our table and too busy chatting to get much RPing done. Her laptop let me log into her account - I wanted to see if Helia was still in her character list or if anything weird had happened.

Her account's empty. Lorna and Helia are both gone, deleted or moved or something.

The guy said in the RP they were chatting and she was picking flowers, and then four berserkers showed up and attacked her. He fought them off and I think killed three of them but one got away, and she died. And then he couldn't click on her to rez her, just like with the other corpses, like with Carren and Laja.

He didn't get a chance to investigate it because that was when the window shattered.

I'm going in to file a missing person's report, but I want to look for her myself, too. Maybe organize Zenners into a search or something.

What would your character(s) do if they suddenly woke up in the real world? (If they're not human, for the sake of this they wake up human.) How would they react to this world and its technology, the lack of magic, the people, etc. And what kind of job do you think they'd wind up getting?

For my characters:

Valentine: Fuck the world. Seriously. She hates people and has no use for technology. She'd probably wind up fleeing into the woods somewhere and living as a hermit and adopting animals, and spend forever lamenting the loss of her magic sob. 8(

Zachary: Oh god I think he'd probably panic a lot and have no idea what to do. Fortunately he's still young enough that he'd be able to go to school, possibly get a medical degree and eventually become a nurse. As for technology... he'd be soooo confused by it and probably wind up trying to find someone to teach him how to use it. He'd never learn to drive, though. Public transportation foreverrrrr.

Malachai: He'd probably adapt the easiest of the three. He'd never be a technological wizard, but he'd adapt to the simpler stuff easily, like phones and possibly cars. I think he'd wind up getting some temp jobs, dabbling here and there, and then wind up starting up some job agency of his own because he's too much of a leader to sit back and follow and he'd want to help people.

Aaah so remember how I was going to get a dog?

I got two. :D

They got along well enough at the shelter, and even got taken on walks together, and I just couldn't pick between them so they both came home with me and they're both adorable and cuddly.

Their names are Trigger and Jasper. They already had those names and are used to them so I don't want to go changing them and confuse the poor things. They're both around three years, and quite energetic! Trigger's a goldie and Jasper's a shep/husky mix.

Jasper was brought in a few weeks ago and was sick then :( but she's better now! Fully recovered and happy as a pup. Trigger was brought in healthy just last week, apparently the owner just didn't want him anymore. :(

I'll give you this much to start with: She dies just like Carren did, murdered, then strung up with clues pointing towards the 'serks.

I went to the animal shelter this morning.

They have so many adorable puppies I want them all!!! They had fluffy puppies with big eyes and big fluffy paws, and scrawny little things with big floppy ears and little button noses, and some that looked like goldies and they were so cuddly and adorable and they have kittens! Oh the kittens! Fuzzy balls of fluff with little tails and ears poking out of them, and then some more grown silver tabbies and a couple that looked like siamese. And they had a couple of gerbils and a guinea pig and a lizard, too. I want to adopt them all but I don't want to wind up the sort of person who spends their entire life taking care of a zoo of animals. :(

They have some lovely dogs, and I almost left with one, but decided I wasn't quite prepared yet. But the people there were really helpful! I got some book recomendations and some pamphlets and we talked about kibble and health care. I'm going back tomorrow to discuss animal spotlight posters for the cafe. :D Then I'll be going out to hit up the shops for supplies. If all goes well I may wind up with a dog this weekend. I'm so excited. :DDD

To make this not entirely off-topic, don't forget the Zen meet this Saturday, starting at 1pm! We'll be showcasing some new items for the week starting Saturday to see how well they do, including baklava, nan khatai, and stroopwafels.

Oh! And I picked up a book to make my own dog biscuits. :D If they do well I might try selling them.

I'm thinking of getting one (yes, I know how much responsibility they are), probably from the shelter, but I'm wondering what breeds I should keep an eye out for for training and protection. Any ideas?

Honey~ I need to ask you something~ I was going to text you when it happened, but it was too much to text, and then I got distracted and... yeah.

Anyway! You know all about the whole Rayu/Victor plot, yeah? Well, Nayan's his friend and Rayu actually asked him to find something for him that kind of includes Anathema. A book belonging to the cult of Akeshetos. Rayu specifically said he didn't want Nayan getting it himself, mind, so no random rogue sneaking into the cult's place to get it. He just wants to know where it is.

Thing is that I can't imagine Anathema would be too okay with that and I haven't been able to play with any of your characters yet, so... perfect opportunity or what? :D I do need to know how much Nayan would be able to get out of anybody about that book, though, if anything.
